With a remarkable career spanning 20 years across prestigious hair salons and the contemporary barbershop movement, Rowan Duley's journey has taken him from New Zealand to New York, Berlin, and finally Melbourne.
Starting as a hairdresser and session stylist, Rowan developed a genuine passion for an effortless approach to hairstyling, coupled with a natural ability to make clients feel comfortable in the salon chair. Over the past 8 years, his pursuit of barbering has allowed him to expand his skillset, enabling him to confidently execute a range of styles, from cutting curly bobs to delivering classic fades with precision.
It was Rowan's diverse background that led him to identify a gap in the traditional hair industry's binary paradigm. Motivated by this realisation, he created Parker—a space that embraces his versatile expertise and caters to the needs of every individual, regardless of their hair type or gender, without the usual price discrepancies.

After building a strong friendship while working together in the Melbourne hair industry, Jim joined Rowan at Parker in 2021, bringing his extensive 17 years of experience to the team.
Jim's hair journey began in a historic barber shop in Fremantle that boasted an impressive 80-year legacy. He then went on to work in renowned salons, honing his skills and gaining valuable expertise. Jim's passion for travel led him to seize opportunities in esteemed barber shops throughout London's vibrant West End, and he even ventured into styling hair for brand events.
At Parker, Jim takes delight in utilising his craft to cater to all individuals. He specialises in creating wash-and-wear hairstyles, firmly believing that hair should be manageable and achievable at home with minimal effort. Jim's approachable and effortless style of cutting ensures that his clients can effortlessly maintain their looks outside the salon.
As a humble hair professional, Melissa joined Parker in 2023, bringing her dedicated experience in the craft of cutting hair which began in the heart of Melbourne.
Melissa’s journey has never been confined by boundaries.
